Poor road drainage on Alrewas Road

Recently a report was made to the parish council about the poor drainage along parts of Alrewas Road. The channels are full of detritus and some road grids blocked. This was reported to Staffordshire Highways (Amey their contractor) and this is their reply:

Dear Ian Colclough

This is an update to your enquiry dated 27/07/2017 in relation to Alrewas Road .
A highways inspector has now visited the site and added the following notes to the report:

Full inspection of the gullys along Alrewas road, there is some weed growth and small amount of surface water in places but all gullys are clear and accepting water, the gullys are routinely cleaned and emptied, no actionable defects therefore at time of inspection.
