Proposed Lichfield Road Development

Published 11 April 2025

Over the next few days, all households in the village are likely to receive a leaflet from a company called Richborough about a proposed development of 70 (or more) houses on the A515 to the south of the village, west of Crawley Lane. The Parish Council received notice from Richborough that they intend to apply for outline planning. Ahead of meeting with the Parish Council they have taken the decision to begin public consultation. This means that you can give Richborough  your feedback about their proposals. At this stage, that feedback will not go to Lichfield District Council or any other planning bodies.
Parish Councillors have met to start assessing this outline proposal. In our draft Local Neighbourhood Plan the Parish Council supports sustainable growth for our village through small or medium sized development. However, our plan is for any development to include the infrastructure and services the village needs. Recognising that medical resources, for example, are already significantly more stretched following housing developments in Yoxall and Alrewas.
Over the coming weeks we will let you know more about how you can give your comments about this proposed development both to the Parish Council and Lichfield District Council.

  • 27 March to 28 March – Little Eaton Island to Palm Ct Island southbound carriageway closure

During closures there will be full signed diversion routes in place. Please see the attached bulletin for details.
