Charles Cole

Published 13 December 2024

It is with great sadness that the Parish Councillors have heard of the passing of its past chairman, Charles Cole, after a short illness.

Charles joined the council in September 2016 becoming chairman in May 2023 before standing down in May this year.

During his time in office he showed great dedication to his many roles and to being a lead Councillor in the mitigation of the impact that HS2 would have on the parish and its residents. More recently he was involved in the hours of discussion relating to local quarrying applications and traffic issues as they affect the village.

The councils condolences go out to his wife, family, friends and colleagues at this very sad time.

Once arrangements are known they will be posted on this web page.

Parish Clerk on behalf of the Parish Council.
