Best Kept Village Competition

Published 24 March 2023

Kings Bromley will be entering the Staffordshire Community Council Best Kept Village competition.

The judging takes place during the months of April, May and June.

The general look and tidiness of public and private spaces is taken into account, as is the level of community involvement.

A litter pick will take place on Saturday 29th April starting at 11am covering areas within the village boundary.

Due to the local elections the date for the May Parish Council meeting will now be on Tuesday 16th May

2023 Litter Pick

Published 13 March 2023

On Sat 11th and Sun 12th a group of volunteers cleared the verges of the roads in Kings Bromley Parish.

Thanks to all who helped this weekend, that is:

Judith & Alan Berry

Alison & Allan Howard

Lynne & Dennis O’Dea

Ann Hoar

Dorothy Edwards

Kev Price

Chris & Cherry Macey

Claudine & Rob Beddows

Paul Woolley

And thanks to our District and County Councillor Richard Cox who is arranging for LDC to pick it all up from the Village Hall car park.

As you can see from the attached photos there was a mass of litter, and that is without including the A513 Kings Bromley Road which Lichfield Litter Legends will be doing on Monday. No attempt was made to clear the litter dump by the HS2 compound on the A515 Lichfield Road.

Amnesty: If anyone who has helped in the past still has one of the long handled pickers, please leave them outside 36 Alrewas Road
