South Staffs Water – works that affect the village over the holiday period

Published 30 April 2022

South Staffs Water will be carrying out repairs to the northbound carriageway of the A38 between Alrewas and Wychnor. The work has been identified following a major water leak that took place earlier this year, which caused damage to the integrity of the carriageway. To carry out the work and to enable the road surface to set, there will be a full weekend closure of the A38 northbound at this location, including the northbound entry slip at Alrewas, from 8pm on Friday 29 April 2022 to 6am on Monday 2 May 2022.

Best Kept Village 2022

Published 16 April 2022

Staffordshire Community Council are running the Best Kept Village competition again and Kings Bromley is entered. There are no flyers to put on your windows this year, however please make sure your front gardens are neat and tidy and pick up any litter you see. The judging lasts from May 1st until the end of July. We have had the ‘totem pole’ for two years as there was no competition last year. Let’s keep it!

There will be a litter pick on Saturday 30th April starting at 10am covering the roads within the village boundary. Black bins bags and long handled pickers will be available at the front of the Village Hall. I’ll allocate an area to any volunteers.
